INGREDIENTS
(makes 6-8 large cookies)
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Nutella
DIRECTIONS
1. Lightly brown your butter: add butter to a pan and cook over medium heat. Keep an eye on it and after a few minutes, the butter will crackle, then foam, then start to brown. Take the pan off the heat when the butter turns an amber color and gives off a nice nutty scent.
2. Let the butter cool for about 5 min, then add it into a large bowl with the sugars until well combined.
3. Add in the egg, then mix again until the batter turns to a paler color.
4. Add your flour, baking soda, and chocolate chips to the batter. Mix until just combined.
5. Use a large cookie scooper to scoop some cookie dough, then use a smaller spoon to press into the dough to make a well. Add a small dollop of Nutella into the middle, then press back the edges of the cookie dough to seal in the Nutella. Feel free to check out my videos on TikTok for a tutorial on how to do this.
6. Place the cookie dough onto a baking tray with plenty of space between the cookies. Bake at 350F for 8-10 min. Let the cookies cool completely on the tray, then enjoy!
