Do you have some bananas going soft on your kitchen counter? Then it’s time to make banana bread! But not just any ol’ banana bread, try making my special sweet sesame banana bread. The sesame seeds and tahini add another dimension of flavor that will leave you wanting one more slice :)
INGREDIENTS:
1 egg
4 medium ripe bananas (or 3 large)
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup vegetable or canola oil
1/4 cup tahini
1 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/3 cup sesame seeds
DIRECTIONS:
1. In a large bowl, add the egg and sugar and whisk together until it turns pale in color This will help add some air into the batter to make the loaf more fluffy.
2. Add in the ripe bananas and mash it with a fork. Then add the oil and tahini and mix until everything is well combined.
3. Into the wet batter, add the flour, baking, and sesame seeds. Mix just until combined.
4. Pour the batter into a lined loaf pan, then top with additional sesame seeds.
5. Bake at 350F for 60 min or until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Let the loaf cool slightly in the tray before taking it out. Then enjoy!
